Description
Christian Tschida Kapitel I is a pure expression of the Cabernet Franc variety, this being the only grape used in its production. The meticulousness and care in its production process are evident from the moment of harvesting to bottling.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed and then trodden by foot. The fermentation of the must is carried out in large vats with indigenous yeasts and without racking. The wine is aged for approximately one year in 500 and 1,200 litre oak vats. Finally, the wine is bottled without fining or filtering and without the addition of sulphur.
Taste
Christian Tschida Kapitel I has a deep purple-violet colour. Its aroma is floral, almost perfumed, and becomes more harmonious with time. Notes of orange peel and bitter orange marmalade can be perceived, followed by an explosion of dense black fruit. There are also typical Cabernet Franc aromas of green leaves and pepper. Despite not having extremely powerful tannin, it is fleshy and juicy. On the palate, it is intense and forceful, with a bitter touch and herbal notes.
