Description
Christian Tschida Felsen I is an authentic and passionate expression of Austrian winemaking. Produced in the Burgenland region, this wine is the result of meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to authenticity and winemaking tradition. The grape variety used for its production is Blaufrankisch, a red grape indigenous to Austria that is known for its ability to produce red wines of great body and character.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed and then crushed with the foot, a traditional technique that allows the purest flavours and aromas to be extracted from the grapes. Fermentation is carried out in large vats with indigenous yeasts and without racking. The wine is aged for 2 years in oak vats of between 500 and 1,500 litres. The wine is bottled without fining or filtering and without the addition of sulphur, which guarantees a natural, unadulterated product.
Taste
Christian Tschida Felsen I is a wine that defies expectations and surprises with its complexity and evolution. From the first sip, an explosion of flavours and aromas is perceived. It is described as lively, wild and deliciously evolving. Its aromatic profile is intense, reminiscent of the syrahs of the northern Rhône. Notes of perfume, concentration, blackcurrant and liquorice stand out. There is also an herbal nuance which, although difficult to identify, adds an extra layer of complexity to the wine. With time, this wine unfolds and shows its true character, being both complex yet enjoyable. Its ageing is exemplary, making it a perfect choice for those looking for a wine that offers a unique sensory experience.
