Alfredo Maestro La Badi is an oenological jewel that stands out for its uniqueness and quality. Produced in the Valladolid region, this wine is a testimony to the dedication and art of winemaking.
Winemaking
Alfredo Maestro La Badi is a non-crianza white wine made from 100% Garnacha Gris, a rare but exquisite variety. The vineyards, located in Mucientes and Cubillas de Santa Marta, have an alluvial soil that contributes to the distinctive character of the wine. The grapes are harvested by hand in the third week of September, followed by careful destemming and crushing. Maceration with the skins lasts three days, and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. This natural process, with no corrections or additions, together with the absence of malolactic fermentation, results in a pure , unstabilised wine .
Taste
Alfredo Maestro La Badi is a unique sensory experience. It presents a medium-high intensity, with notes of cooked plum, herbs, apple and quince, together with a touch of red grapefruit and an autumnal aroma of dried leaves. Its acidity is medium-high, with very soft and low tannins, similar to those of an orange wine. The alcohol is of medium intensity, as is its body, and it has a medium-long finish. This flavour profile, together with a slight effervescence in some bottles due to re-fermentation, makes La Badi an intriguing and delicious choice.
