The 2021 Viña de Martín Os Pasás has the textbook nose of river stones and moss that I associate with Ribeiro, a mineral and austere white produced with Treixadura, Albariño, Lado and Torrontés from his younger vines. From a cool year, it feels quite austere, sharp and serious. 8,300 bottles and 50 magnums were produced. It was bottled in November 2022. This has a track record for ageability.

Description
Viña de Martín Os Pasás is a Ribeiro white wine that conquers from the first sip. Behind this bottle is Luis Anxo Rodríguez Vázquez, a winemaker who not only makes wine, but also tells stories through his vineyards.
This wine has Galician soul: a base of Treixadura, accompanied by small doses of Lado, Albariño and Torrontés. Each grape contributes its nuance, creating a balanced, fresh blend with a lot of personality.
The vineyards grow on the steep slopes of Arnoia, a magical corner of Galicia. Here, the vines, some more than 20 years old, take root in decomposed granite soils, known locally as "sábrego". This type of soil, together with the southern orientation, means that the grapes ripen slowly, accumulating flavours and character.
Winemaking
Luis Anxo follows the rhythm of nature. Each plot is harvested by hand, selecting only the best grapes. Then, in the winery, fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, respecting the essence of the vineyard. After this, the wine rests on its fine lees for 12 months, gaining structure and complexity.

Imagine the aroma of a damp forest after the rain: white flowers, mineral notes and a slight citrus touch. When you taste it, the freshness is the first thing that stands out. The vibrant but well-integrated acidity gives way to a silky texture and a long finish, with a subtle hint of wet stone. It is a wine with nerve, but without losing elegance.
