The 2023 Alma do Vello Tesouro is a rare Brancellao varietal bottling from young vines planted in the middle of a chestnut tree forest, 0.25 hectares at 550 meters above sea level on alluvial soils. It fermented with 90% full clusters and matured in 500-liter French oak barrels for 14 months and then three more months in stainless steel. It's floral and perfumed, light and delicate, but it still comes in at 13.5% alcohol; therefore, it's more powerful than in previous years when the wine was lighter. This is serious, elegant and clean, with very fine tannins, showing the potential of the variety to produce elegant Atlantic reds. 1,320 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2025.
