Description

Tissot Arbois Vin Jaune La Vasée is a distinctive and elegant wine produced in the Jura region of France. This wine is made exclusively from the Savagnin variety, known for its ageing ability and unique aromatic profile. The vines, with an average age of 50 years, are planted in a deep, clayey terroir on Triassic blue marls. This terroir, together with the mostly southern exposure, allows the Savagnin to reach optimum maturity.

Winemaking

Tissot Arbois Vin Jaune La Vasée is aged for six years in barrels under a veil of flor, a traditional method that gives it its characteristic oxidative style. This process gives it a unique complexity and richness, making each bottle a masterpiece of viticulture.

Taste

Tissot Arbois Vin Jaune La Vasée offers an unparalleled sensory experience. On the nose, the nutty notes characteristic of this type of wine stand out, complemented by smoky and iodised hints that give it a special freshness. On the palate, intense notes of dried fruits such as pistachio and almonds are perceived, together with candied lemon and cooked white fruits such as reinette apple and plum. Minerality dominates the initial attack, followed by an acidic structure that enhances its complexity. In addition, spicy hints of clove and evocations of undergrowth and mushrooms such as morel mushroom enrich its profile. This wine not only impresses with its flavour, but also with its structure and long finish, reminiscent of cognacs or aged whiskies, making it a memorable tasting experience.
