Description
Tissot Arbois Poulsard Sur Lias is a wine produced by the renowned Domaine Tissot, a leading winery in the Jura region of France. This wine is 100% Poulsard, a grape variety typical of the region, also known as "Ploussard". The grapes come from vineyards grown on Lias clay soils, specifically in the parcels of La Vasée and Le Moulin.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and macerated for three months in foudres (large oak barrels) before being pressed and aged in demi-muids (medium-sized barrels) for 6-9 months. The wine is bottled unclarified, unfiltered and without the addition of sulphur, following the principles of biodynamic viticulture certified by Demeter since 2004.
Taste
Tissot Arbois Poulsard Sur Lias has an aromatic intensity that subtly blends notes of strawberry and cherry, creating a fresh and fruity aromatic profile. On the palate, it stands out for its balanced acidity and medium tannins, which provide a pleasant structure and a slightly pearly sensation in its youth. This wine is ideal to accompany light dishes and convivial moments, especially with cheese and charcuterie platters. After an aeration of 24 hours, the wine shows a more harmonious integration, with the tannins and carbonic perfectly balanced, offering an optimal and refreshing tasting experience, perfect for warm summer evenings.
