Description
Serragghia Heritage is an exceptional wine from the Pantelleria region of Sicily, Italy. This gem is made from the Zibibbo grape variety, also known as Muscat of Alexandria. What distinguishes this wine is its provenance: the grapes are grown from vines that are over a hundred years old, giving it an unparalleled richness and complexity.
Winemaking
Serragghia Heritage is produced meticulously and respectfully with nature. It is grown in volcanic and sandy soil at high altitude. The viticulture is biodynamic, certified by Demeter, guaranteeing sustainable cultivation in harmony with the environment. Harvesting is done by hand, and after destemming the grapes, they are gently pressed. Fermentation is spontaneous with 20 days of skin maceration, carried out in terracotta amphorae buried in the vineyard. The wine is aged for 3 months in amphorae and, emphasising its purity, no fining or filtration is carried out before bottling. Finally it is bottled without added sulphites.
An experience that reflects the passion and dedication of its creator, Giotto Bini, who seeks to produce wines that are a pure and simple reflection of Pantelleria's nature. With a limited production of only 600 bottles, Serragghia Heritage is undoubtedly a jewel for true wine connoisseurs.
Taste
Serragghia Heritage has a golden amber colour. Its nose is powerful and highly aromatic, with notes revolving mainly around fruity and floral aromas. On the palate, it reveals itself as a full-bodied, well-balanced wine with a powerful flavour. The finish is very long, leaving a lasting impression on the palate. It is a wine that combines perfectly with second courses of fish and finds its maximum expression when accompanied by large seafood dishes, being especially recommended with turbot.
