Description
Sense Nom wine is a majestic expression of viticulture in the Penedès region of Spain. This red wine comes from a plot of 70-year-old vines located near Fontrubí, at an altitude of 550 metres above sea level. The soil of this plot is calcareous in nature, with less depth than in the Penedès plain, which contributes to the unique characteristics of the wine.
Winemaking
The winemaking of Sense Nom is carried out with a minimal intervention approach. Vinification includes the use of whole grapes and a semi-carbonic maceration of 21 days. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, and malolactic fermentation is spontaneous. This process highlights the purity and authentic expression of Grenache, the grape variety used in this wine.
Sense Nom is aged for 12 months in 300-litre French oak barrels. This ageing period contributes to the wine's complexity and depth, while maintaining its freshness and varietal character.
