Description
Puro Rofe Muñique wine comes from the traditional vineyards of La Geria, known as the "gran cru" of Lanzarote, which is characterised by a black landscape due to the holes dug in the volcanic ash (which is known locally as Rofe).
It is a high quality red wine, produced using mainly the Listán Negro grape variety, and subjected to a careful and meticulous winemaking process.
Winemaking
First, the grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected to ensure the highest quality. The grapes are then destemmed and undergo a fermentation process in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
After fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels for a specific period of time. In this process, the wine acquires spicy notes from the oak barrel in which it was aged.
Once the ageing process is completed, the wine is bottled and left to settle in the bottle for an additional period of time. This time allows the wine to reach its full flavour and aroma potential.
