Description
Neo Punta Esencia is the flagship project of Bodegas y Viñedos Neo, a winery located in the prestigious D.O. Ribera del Duero. Founded by three passionate friends who, together with winemaker Isaac Fernández Montaña, have given life to a project that combines the production of exceptional wines with a strong inclination towards creativity and music. Neo Punta Esencia, made exclusively with 100% Tempranillo or Tinta del País, is a wine that reflects the purest essence of its terroir. The grapes come from vineyards 50 to 90 years old, located on hillsides up to 900 metres above sea level near the Duero River, which gives the grapes a unique and authentic character.
Winemaking
The region's clayey soil and Mediterranean-continental climate allow for optimal ripening, limiting yields to around 1,500 kg per hectare to ensure maximum concentration of aromas and flavours. Manual harvesting in small crates ensures that each cluster arrives at the winery in its best condition. After a controlled maceration of 25 days, the wine is aged for 32 months in new French oak barrels, a meticulous process that gives it an elegant and complex profile.
Taste
Neo Punta Esencia is a wine that on the nose displays a range of intense aromas of ripe fruits and spices, combined with notes of fine cocoa and lactic touches that add depth. On the palate, its balance and robust structure stand out, with ripe tannins and a remarkable acidity that makes it extremely pleasant and persistent. Each sip envelops the palate with a toasty character, recalling the care and dedication of its creators. It is a wine that invites you to savour it slowly, allowing you to discover in each layer the secrets of an ancient vineyard that has witnessed the time and history of Ribera del Duero.
