Description
The Neo wine of Bodegas y Viñedos Neo, located in the prestigious DO Ribera del Duero, is an authentic and carefully crafted expression of the Tempranillo variety (100%). This project was born in 2000 as a result of the passion of three friends and has evolved in the hands of winemaker Isaac Fernández Montaña. With a vineyard covering approximately 12 hectares, Neo is produced from vines between 50 and 60 years old, grown in clay soils. The viticulture used is organic, respecting nature and the authenticity of the grapes.
Winemaking
The production of Neo follows a meticulous process: after a 22-day maceration, the wine is aged for 30 months in new French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels. Each vintage results in a limited production of approximately 15,000 bottles, making Neo a wine that, with each edition, tells the story of a singular land and a singular care.
Taste
On first contact, Neo displays enveloping aromas of fresh red fruit, plums and a subtle hint of vanilla that awakens the senses. On the palate, this wine is vigorous, with firm tannins that structure each sip, providing an intense and prolonged experience. Notes of chocolate and tobacco mingle with hints of leather and earthy nuances that add depth and complexity.
With a long, lingering finish, Neo leaves an echo of dark, elegant flavours on the palate, such as blackberries and ripe black fruit, inviting you to rediscover each layer in a sensory journey that reflects the soul of Ribera del Duero.
