Description
Hacienda López de Haro Crianza is a red wine from Rioja that combines the Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano grape varieties. The vineyard is composed of old vines selected from different areas of the Rioja, settled in poor , drained soils on the terraces of the Ebro. The grapes are harvested by hand during the month of October, ensuring the optimal harvesting of the grapes.
Winemaking
With 90% Tempranillo, 7% Garnacha and 3% Graciano, López de Haro Crianza is made by fermentation in 30,000 kg tanks at 28°C, with a two-week maceration. Ageing is carried out for 18 months in French and American oak barrels, followed by a period of refinement in the bottle until reaching a total of three years of ageing.
Taste
Hacienda López de Haro Crianza offers a complex and balanced organoleptic experience. To the eye, it has a cherry colour with russet tones on the rim. On the nose, it stands out for its aromas of ripe red fruit and liquorice, complemented by notes of coffee, vanilla and balsamic notes derived from its ageing in barrels.
When tasted, the wine is smooth and velvety, with sweet, ripe tannins that are pleasant and easy to drink. Its structure is elegant and harmonious, providing an unctuous texture and a fresh passage through the mouth. The finish is long, leaving a pleasant aftertaste that invites further enjoyment.
This wine pairs perfectly with grilled red meats, stews, roasts, game, duck, cured cheeses and acorn-fed Iberian ham, elevating each dish with its sophisticated range of flavours.
