Winemaking
Carbonic maceration for Le Coste Moscato de la Vigna Grande and skin maceration for Moscato de la Vigna Grande grapes. Aged for 20 months in used oak barrels. Bottled unfined, unfiltered and with no added sulphites.
Description
Le Coste Due M is made in the village of Gradoli, near Lago di Bolsena in Lazio, Italy. This wine is the result of the passion and dedication of producers Gianmarco Antonuzi and Clementine Bouveron. The name "Due M" refers to the Moscato grapes, which come from two different crus: "Vigna Grande" and "Le Coste". These grapes, grown in rich volcanic soils and treated with organic practices, ferment naturally.
Winemaking
Part of the fermentation is carried out by carbonic maceration and part in contact with the skins. After this process, the wine is aged for 18 to 20 months in old oak barrels, which gives it a unique complexity and maturity.
Taste
Due M presents a heady aromatic profile, where floral notes dominate and give way to a perception of sweetness. On the palate, intense and nuanced flavours unfold: grilled clementine peel, marzipan and a jasmine and rambutan compote combine harmoniously with nuances of tobacco and Assam tea. This combination of flavours and aromas makes Due M an orange wine or"skin contact white wine" with a distinctive and memorable character.
