Description
Éclats de Meulière Brut Nature by Jeaunaux Robin is a wine made from Meunier, Pit Noir and Chardonnay grape varieties. It is a wine whose flavour expresses the land from which it comes and the artisanal winemaking techniques.
Meulière is a type of calcareous rock used for millstones, while Éclats means sparkling, sparkling or flamboyant. Both represent a play on words about the particular taste, aroma and texture of this wine.
The wine Éclats de Meulière Brut Nature is defined as a wine with contradictory flavour notes, but at the same time balanced to offer the diner an unequalled, balanced and elegant taste.
Winemaking
The production of Éclats de Meulière Brut Nature by Jeaunaux Robin does not include any percentage of very old reserve wine, as the winemaker wants to highlight the freshness of the fruit as a characteristic.
When the grapes have reached their optimum ripeness, they are harvested by hand, taking care to respect the naturalness of the process.
Then it is taken to the winery to extract the must and only a quarter of it is subjected to a fermentation process with indigenous yeast in seasoned oak barrels. The rest is taken to a tank with yeast inoculation. The vinification phase is carried out over a period of 30 months before bottling.
Taste
Éclats de Meulière Brut Nature has a striking golden colour. The taste is dry and the bubbles are a little coarse. It shows a balance of citrus and ripe fruit on the palate that combines with its high level of acidity.
A contradictory wine
Éclats de Meulière Brut Nature is a wine with very accentuated flavours that are often indescribable on the palate, but at the same time have a perfect balance and a unique permanence in the mouth. It is an excellent alternative to combine with pork, oily fish and seafood.
