The varietal white 2022 Vinya Gigi Chardonnay from vines planted in 1967 now has the category of single-vineyard wine (vi de finca qualificada), and it shows the warm and dry character of the year with a rounder palate, 13.5% alcohol and mellow acidity. It fermented and matured in stainless steel and oak barrels and foudres, with part of the wine going through malolactic fermentation. It has some notes of pineapple, citrus, smoke and spice and a medium-bodied palate with a velvety mouthfeel and noticeable oak in the finish. 11,555 bottles produced. It was bottled between March and April 2023.
