Description
From the sunny slopes of Pfaffenheim, in the heart of Alsace, Ginglinger Le Paradis d'Arthur Riesling is born as a generational gesture: the young Arthur Ginglinger imprints his vision on the family tradition, bringing a freer and purer approach to this emblematic variety. The estate, with its centuries-old viticultural heritage, has been working according to organic and biodynamic principles for more than two decades. Arthur, with an almost ascetic sensitivity towards the vineyard, is committed to minimal intervention, letting the soil - limestone, marl and sandstone - speak clearly through the wine. In this dry and sunny corner, protected by the Vosges, the grapes ripen slowly, developing a tense acidity and aromas of great precision.
Winemaking
Harvesting is manual and selective. The grapes are gently pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Without aggressive thermal control or additives, the wine follows its natural course. Ginglinger Le Paradis d'Arthur Riesling is aged on fine lees for two years in large traditional Alsatian barrels, adding depth and texture without detracting from freshness. It is bottled without filtering, fining or sulphur additives, retaining all its purity, tension and energy.
Flavour
Ginglinger Le Paradis d'Arthur Riesling is mineral: wet stone, chalk, flint, an almost electric echo. As it opens, citrus notes emerge(lime, grapefruit zest), green apple and a faint herbaceous touch of fennel and wild mint. The palate is sharp and vibrant, with firm acidity running through the palate like a thread. There are flashes of white fruit and a saline, lingering finish, with a very subtle floral hint. It is not a wine of fruity exuberance, but of structural purity. A dry, austere and radically lively Riesling, ideal for those looking for character and precision in every sip.
