Very deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Altagracia springs from the glass with vibrant scents of crushed black cherries, ripe, juicy blackcurrants and blackberry coulis, plus hints of cardamom, cumin seed, tree bark and crushed rocks. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is chock-full of expressive black fruits with firm and fine-grained tannins and beautiful freshness, finishing long and spicy.

Description
Eisele Vineyard Altagracia is a red wine produced by the prestigious Eisele Vineyard winery in Napa Valley, this wine is a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot.
Winemaking
The meticulous selection of grapes on the sorting table and the optimal level of ripeness of the skins and seeds allowed for a smooth and balanced extraction. This wine was aged for 18 months in a combination of French oak barrels (90%) and Austrian oak foudres ( 10%), giving it a savoury combination of ripe fruit and spicy notes. Importantly, the grapes from the Eisele Vineyard are certified organic by CCOF and biodynamic by Demeter.
Taste
The distinctive character of Eisele Vineyard is reflected each year in the Eisele Vineyard Altagracia blend, expressing the unique quality of the fruit grown on its eastern parcels. This wine is highly fragrant and expressive, revealing a floral nose with dried rose petals entwined with wild strawberries, red currant, blueberry and a touch of pink pepper and sandalwood. The palate is round and silky, with subtle flavours of black tea, cinnamon, orange peel and cocoa. The texture of well-integrated tannins coats the palate, leading to a long finish with notes of aniseed.
