The 2022 Chenas Les Pérelles is made from purchased grapes from the Thillardon family, from an organically farmed vineyard on stony alluvial soils. The wine is fragrant with a bouquet of muddled raspberries, strawberries, cherry blossoms and brown spices. The palate is medium-bodied with a thin veil of candied red fruit tones, countered by a taut lining of crisp acidity and marine-tinged salinity. With little flesh for cushion, the wine's tannins assert themselves on the back end as they gain traction, imparting a chalky resistance that marks the finish.
