The 2023 Gerümpel Wachenheim P.C. is clear, bright, elegant and fresh in its pure and aromatic bouquet that's on the lemon side of the fruit spectrum. Rich and generous but elegant and refined on the palate, this is a full-bodied, savory and textural Riesling with delicate and finely grained acidity and round, lush, intense and slightly creamy fruit. The finish is long and complex and really substantial. 12.5% stated alcohol. Diam 30 cork. Tasted at the domaine in January 2025.

Description
Dr. Bürklin - Wolf Wachenheimer Gerümpel PC comes from the prestigious municipality of Wachenheimer on a 13-hectare plot of land consisting of red and yellow sandstone, first mentioned in documents in 1429. Of this area, 6.2 hectares belong to the winery Dr. Bürklin - Wolf. The name "Gerümpel" is derived from a 15th century landowner named Grympel. This plot enjoys a particular climate, with frequent warmings, and shares geological similarities with its neighbouring plot, the Forster Pechstein.
Taste
Wachenheimer Gerümpel P.C. presents itself with impressive clarity and precision, offering an elegant and substantial combination of bright, ripe fruit aromas on the nose, along with the fresh finesse of the sandstone geology of this warm site. On the palate, it is pure, saline and taut, a dry Riesling with a grip. With an alcohol content of 12.5% and a natural cork stopper, this wine promises to be an unforgettable experience for those who taste it.
