Description
Clos du Tue-Boeuf Touraine La Butte is a red wine made exclusively from the Gamay variety by the Clos du Tue Boeuf Touraine winery in France.
The grapes come from vineyards with an average age of 40 to 65 years planted on clay soil with limestone flint.
Touraine is a wine-growing district located in the heart of the French wine-growing region of the Loire Valley. The wines of this Touraine appellation can be white, red, rosé or sparkling.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and harvested at the optimum ripening point of the grapes. Vinification is without destemming with a carbonic maceration of 3 weeks. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts.
Subsequently, the wine is aged for 6 to 8 months in oak barrels.
Taste
Clos du Tue-Boeuf Touraine La Butte is a naturally delicious wine, with a wonderful fruit expression. The palate is fresh, friendly, fruity with a hint of citrus, which clears up after a short time.
