Description
Barranco Oscuro Syrnacha is a mountain rosé wine made from a blend of Syrah and Grenache grapes. The vineyards are located at an impressive altitude of 1350 metres above sea level, in the Sierra Nevada, near Granada. This wine is produced following natural methods, without fining, filtration or addition of sulphur dioxide.
Winemaking
The fermentation of Barranco Oscuro Syrnacha is spontaneous and takes place in stainless steel tanks, with a maceration on the skins of just one day. Afterwards, the wine is aged for 10 months in used French oak barrels. Barranco Oscuro is known for its focus on sustainable and organic agriculture, having pioneered the production of natural wines in Spain since the 1970s.
Taste
Barranco Oscuro Syrnacha stands out for its freshness and minerality. On the nose, it presents notes of small red fruits, such as wild strawberries, accompanied by a subtle bitter touch on the finish. On the palate, it is agile and juicy, with a fantastic acidity that makes it very refreshing. This rosé wine has a well-balanced palate, with flavours reminiscent of cherry yoghurt and a pleasantly mineral persistence.
