Description
Bàrbara Forés Vi Dolç is a wine made from the Garnacha Blanca grape variety. This wine comes from two small plots located on the La Coma d'En Pou estate, with vines planted between the 1980s and the early 2000s.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested late, specifically at the end of September. In order to obtain a higher concentration of sugars and dehydration of the berries, the grapes are hung one by one on a framework of wires, in a wind-ventilated building in Gandesa, for 15 days. Afterwards, the grapes are cold macerated for two days, pressed and the must is fermented in French oak barrels. This fermentation process is followed by ageing in the same barrel for 20 months.
Taste
Bàrbara Forés Vi Dolç stands out for its complexity and richness of flavours. When tasting this wine, one can identify notes of peach and flowers on the nose, while on the palate one can perceive flavours of honey, white fruit, peach and citrus fruits such as mandarin. It also has a mineral touch that adds depth and balance to the palate. This sweet wine, with its natural sweetness, is ideal for pairing with blue cheeses, creating a perfect combination that enhances the characteristics of both products.
