Description
Astral L'Ancestral de Planetes is the free and luminous interpretation of Andreu Ortiz, the new generation of Familia Nin-Ortiz, in the deepest Priorat. Born from the desire to capture the ancestral freshness of Garnacha Tinta and Cariñena, this natural sparkling wine is a firm commitment to tradition and minimal intervention. The idea arose after a particularly lively harvest, when Andreu sensed that these grapes were not asking for barrels or extraction, but to levitate in their own energy. Thus was born this pét-nat made according to the ancient ancestral method, as a faithful reflection of the landscape: sloping vineyards, licorella soils, biodynamic agriculture and a Mediterranean climate of marked contrasts.
Winemaking
Both varieties are harvested separately, seeking a vibrant acidity. Fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. Before finishing, they are blended and bottled, allowing the fermentation to complete inside the bottle -with no additives, no sulphites, no make-up-. Astral L'Ancestral de Planetes rests for a year on its lees before disgorging, unfiltered, thus retaining its texture, depth and the fine, natural bubbles that define it.
Taste
A cherry pink colour with bright reflections, Astral L'Ancestral de Planetes displays aromas of fresh red fruits, orange peel, pomegranate and dried flowers. The palate is tense, with a clean, almost electric acidity and an enveloping texture. The bubbles are soft but persistent, providing nerve and lightness. There is a mineral and saline background that lengthens the finish and evokes the purest Priorat. A dry, vibrant, honest wine, deeply linked to its origin, perfect for those seeking authenticity in an effervescent state.
