Description
Artuke Rioja is a product originating in the Rioja Alavesa made in Baños de Ebro. It is prepared with Tempranillo and a small portion of Viura, all provided by the hectares located in Avalos and San Vicente.

Winemaking
This is a young wine made with 95% Tempranillo and the rest Viura, which come from plantations made between 1902 and 2005. The soils, located at 450 meters above sea level, are clayey and calcareous, ideal for the grapes, which receive meticulous care.
Vinification is carried out by scraping and carbonic maceration, in which fermentation is peculiar, since the same enzymes of the grapes produce the aromas of the wine.
The concrete tanks provide a prolonged conservation and characteristics that make the sensation of tasting it magnificent. The maceration of whole bunches gives its essence unique details, typical of La Rioja.
Artuke Riosa undergoes spontaneous malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Apart from fermentation, it is aged for six months in concrete.
Taste
In the first sips you perceive both its mineralized background and the various lactic touches that do not counteract its good level of acidity. As it is young, in the mouth you notice that its freshness is genuine and that its vinification is in keeping with its origin.
It has the D.O. Ca. Rioja, as well as an expressive aroma and a slight country nuance in the background.
A delicate and fresh wine
This is a wine with a singular lavishness, classic of quality reds.
As its finish is very well suited to the properties of the fruit, it is also useful for pairing with select dishes. For example, it enhances sausages, rice dishes and game.
