I was taken by the aromatic complexity and nuance of the white 2022 La Llorona, produced with Godello from a 35-year-old vineyard on sandy soils in the village of Pieros. The grapes were picked on September 1, and the juice from the destemmed grapes fermented and matured for nine months in 225-, 500- and 600-liter barrels. It has subtle aromas of sesame seeds, chamomile, spice (curry) and apricots. It's balanced and has an elegant palate, moderate ripeness and 12% alcohol, keeping 7.2 grams of acidity after partial malolactic. It is showing superbly. It's a wine of great regularity. 10,600 bottles produced.
