Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2023 Dits del Terra is pure Cariñena from 60-year-old vines on steep slate slopes. It fermented with full clusters in concrete for seven to eight days and was kept in concrete for eight months. This year, the wine is surprisingly floral and silky, when it's usually earthy. It has contained ripeness and 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.6. It's still the darkest and the ripest of the reds, and it's always a little rustic. It comes from a very warm place, but even in the torrid and dry 2023, the wine is harmonious and fresh; there's no sense of heat at all. It has a little more fruit, and it's rounder than Arbossar. 3,200 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2024.

Description
Nestled in the sunny south-facing slate hills of Priorat, Terroir al Límit Dits del Terra is born, a wine that defies expectations. Produced from Carignan vineyards over 60 years old, this wine is not what one would typically expect from such old and robust vines. However, it is precisely this gap between expectation and surprising creation that makes Dits de Terra so iconic.
The vineyard, one of Terroir al Límit's original vineyards, pays homage to the cypress trees that shade the region's historic Hermitages. The grapes are harvested by hand, fermented with whole bunches for 7 to 10 days in concrete tanks and then aged for 8 months in concrete.
Taste
The care and attention with which Terroir al Límit Dits del Terra is made elevates it to a fine, complex and fluid expression of different terroirs. Despite the darkness in the glass, it surprises with an ephemeral lightness in aroma and flavour. Airy black fruits and lingering herbaceousness enhance the soft spice and suspended movement across the palate. Notes of anise, fresh fennel and rose are underscored by a fluid web of balsamic accents, never heavy or broad.
