The 2021 El Anejón was produced with a blend of 92% Tinto Fino, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot, selected from a 9.43-hectare plot that named it, a terraced vineyard. The destemmed grapes fermented in small French oak vats with indigenous yeasts and aged in new 600-liter French oak barrels, where they matured for 12 months. It shows the house style that has been refined in the last few years. It has notes of blackberry fruit, aromatic herbs and spice. 2021 was a very complete year, and the grapes ripened thoroughly to 15% alcohol. It has abundant but fine-grained tannins, giving it a chalky texture.16,000 bottles produced. 40,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in the spring of 2023.
