Oxer Buruzagi 2022

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Another new wine is the 2022 Buruzagi, a blend of Garnacha from Campovín and 10% Monastel Riojano (Morate). The wine is surprisingly dark, as I was expecting a lighter color. It feels earthy and rustic, with abundant, slightly dusty tannins. It's ripe, with 14.5% alcohol but has a low pH of 3.3. It fermented in small oak vats and matured in 600-liter barrels. It was a bit disconcerting and left me scratching my head at the middle of the range that had little in common with it. 900 bottles were filled in September 2023.
