Description
Neo Sentido is a wine that expresses all the richness of Ribera del Duero in a carefully crafted wine made by Bodegas y Viñedos Neo, a winery with a young spirit that fuses its passion for wine and music. This single varietal Tempranillo comes from vineyards over 50 years old, carefully selected and located in different plots of La Horra, in clay soils and under a Mediterranean-continental climate that enhances the concentration of the grapes.
Winemaking
The manual harvest and meticulous vinification, which includes a controlled maceration of 14 days and an ageing of 12 months in French (70%) and American (30%) oak barrels, give Neo Sentido an unmistakable character. Neo Sentido is neither clarified nor filtered, which preserves its authenticity and allows for a genuine tasting experience.
Taste
Neo Sentido stands out for its balance and an intensity in the mouth that captivates those who taste it. It has a cherry colour with violet edges, a foretaste of its deep aromas. On the nose, notes of ripe fruit, sweet spices and a mineral touch that adds complexity. On the palate, it is round and flavoursome, with well-integrated acidity that enhances its black fruit compote flavours, subtle hints of oak and a lingering finish with hints of bitter chocolate and spice. The tannins, still young, augur a good evolution in the bottle, which makes it an excellent choice both to enjoy now and to cellar.
