The Mas Coutelou Winery has more than 300 years of history since its foundation, and is currently managed by Jean Françoise Coutelou, who is considered one of the leading exponents of natural wines in France.
One of his best creations is the Mas Coutelou wine Quoi qu'il en Goutte, its English translation means something like "whatever needs to be done", "whatever is necessary", "no matter what", referring to the fact that two vintages are used to create this wine.

Mas Coutelou Quoi qu'il en Goutte wine is made from the coupage of Syrah, and Carignan grape varieties, which allows layers of complexity to be added because new and old stocks are blended. Although this process has been implemented for centuries by spirits producers, it is not widely accepted by certain winemakers.
Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation and ageing take place in concrete and fibreglass tanks. Finally, the wine is bottled unclarified and unfiltered.

The red wine Mas Coutelou Quoi qu'il en Goutte is a young, complex and juicy natural wine. It has an intense dark red colour, black fruit and spicy flavours, and a sweet and sour taste. It is a wine with firm tannins, which has a long dry and acid finish, with notes of leather. It is a powerful and structured wine.

A unique wine "no matter what".

The organic wine Mas Coutelou Quoi qu'il en Goutte, is a wine that you can keep to enjoy it aged, or taste it in its youth. It is also a perfect red wine to enjoy at weddings, with rice and meat, and should be served at about 14°C. It is also ideal to enjoy with rice and meat.
