The 2022 Maduresa was very recently bottled and the nose feels a little dizzy, but the palate reveals what I had seen in other 2022s when compared with their 2021 counterparts; more finesse, brightness and intensity. It's a more complete wine with more of everything, including balance. The varietal breakdown is a little higher in Cariñena (35%), with 60% Monastrell and 5% total of Mandó and Arcos. Seeing the elegant and sleek palate, I am confident the wine will develop nicely in bottle, and the nose should recover and get brighter and more defined than it showed today. It matured in 225- and 500-liter French oak barrels for 11 months. 20,000 bottles were produced. It was bottled in November 2023.
