Description
Luis Pérez Tintilla Corchuelo wine is a unique expression of viticulture in the region of Jerez, Spain. This wine is a single varietal, made from 100% Tintilla grapes, a variety indigenous to Andalusia. Tintilla is characterised by its high acidity and low tannin content, which makes it ideal for the production of red wines in semi-warm climates.
Winemaking
The grapes are selected by hand and vinified partly (60%) without destemming, in stainless steel tanks and open barrels for 30 days. This process, which includes little pumping over, seeks to respect the softness and elegance of the variety. The wine is aged for approximately 12 months in six-year-old wooden barrels, followed by a few months in tanks before bottling.
Taste
The taste of Luis Pérez Tintilla Corchuelo is distinctive and complex. It stands out for its medium body and a palette of flavours that includes ripe black fruits, balanced spices and well-integrated tannins. The presence of floral notes, evocative of rose petals and pepper, adds an aromatic and spicy dimension to the wine. This flavour profile is complemented by a lingering finish, which leaves a lasting impression on the palate.
