Description
Le Coste Alea Jacta Est is a stunningly profound expression of Lazio's most typical red grape, Aleatico. Produced by Le Coste winery, under the direction of Gianmarco Antonuzi and Clementine Bouveron, this wine comes from Gradoli, near Lago di Bolsena in Lazio.
Winemaking
It comes from a 40-year-old single vineyard called Vigna Le Coste, located on dark volcanic soils. The organically grown grapes undergo a full carbonic maceration in cement for 2 months. After pressing, they continue to ferment for a few weeks. Subsequently, it is aged for 2 years in old oak barrels.
Taste
Alea Jacta Est is a lively, crisp, fresh and aromatic wine. It sparkles with notes of wild mint and redcurrants, dark moss and forest floor, tart apples and blackcurrants.
