Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2021 La Garnacha de Mustiguillo fermented in oak vats with 20% to 30% full clusters and indigenous yeasts with long but soft macerations and then aged in large oak vats to keep the freshness. It's medium-bodied and has fine tannins and a gentle mouthfeel that make it easy to drink. It has 14% alcohol with a low pH of 3.31. Like the other wines, they have separated the grapes by soils, discarding some parts and picking at different times, and the wine seems to have gained in complexity. It has a pretty nose, floral and aromatic. Elegant and delicious, keeping the Mediterranean character. 9,539 bottles were filled in February 2023.

Description
Mustiguillo Garnacha is a single varietal wine, as it is made from a single type of grape, which in this case is Garnacha. However, it is a particular Garnacha that has been selected from an exclusive cultivation, resulting in a wine with a Mediterranean style flavour.
This wine is defined as balanced, elegant and with personality, highlighting its lightness in flavour and the freshness of its floral tones.
The vineyards where the grapes for the production of this wine are grown are located at an altitude of 800 metres, with limestone soils, and applying ecological techniques for their cultivation and maintenance.
Winemaking
To make this wine, the grapes are harvested 100% by hand, ensuring that the fruit is at its optimum ripeness, and then harvested in boxes of a maximum of 15 kg.
The maceration process continues, which is carried out in the same boxes as the harvest, but at low temperatures. The bunches are then sorted and destemmed and fermented in oak vats for 10 to 13 days.
The wine undergoes a second post-fermentation maceration for a period of 8 to 10 days, after which the skins are devatted. It is then aged for 8 to 10 months in French oak barrels and finally bottled for distribution.
Taste
The taste of La Garnacha de Mustiguillo wine leaves a juicy sensation on the palate with wild tones, balanced acidity and subtle hints of spices. On the palate, the intensity is noticeable until a dry and elegant finish.
A wine with a peculiar freshness
Mustiguillo's Garnacha wine stands out from others from this winery for its peculiar freshness, where you can delight yourself with the taste of ripe wild fruits and floral tones. It is a perfect companion for meals based on chickpea stews, fatty fish and cured cheeses.
