The 2024 Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett is crystal clear, refined and pure on the herbal nose that is still a little reductive. Lush and round, even quite sweet (45 grams per liter of residual sugar), this is a light but fruity, savory and zesty Kabinett that will be highly stimulating in 5+ years. 8% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted at the domaine in March 2026.

Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett is a wine that represents the essence of the Mosel region, Germany. Produced at Weingut Fritz Haag, this wine comes from vineyards that have a long history, being first mentioned in documents in 1605.
Winemaking
The vineyard is located on the "Brauneberger Juffer" location, which is a southern slope with a gradient of up to 75%. It is exclusively planted with Riesling grapes. The soil, largely composed of decomposed shale with iron oxide inclusions, retains heat optimally. The proximity of the Mosel River acts as a reflector, further intensifying the sunlight. This combination of rocky soil, proximity to the river and a mild climate is the basis for the production of delicate wines with juicy acidity and pronounced fruit.
