Description
The Frisach Vernatxa wine follows the philosophy of its winery of origin, making expressive wines that maintain their naturalness, using ancestral techniques at every stage of production.
For this wine they use native varieties of white Garnacha, a type of grape that comes from the "Quart" estate. The cultivation soil is composed of sand and slightly calcareous clay, typical of dry coastal areas. One of the objectives of this winery is to recover the winemaking tradition of the area, respecting the environment where the fruit is grown.
This is a bright wine with golden glints that denotes silkiness and elegance in every sip.
Elaboration
The production of Frisach Vernatxa wine begins with the manual harvesting of the Garnacha Blanca grapes. They are then carefully selected and taken to stainless steel tanks to begin the maceration of the fruit and its skins.
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in these tanks and then the wine is aged in 500-litre barrels for a period of 6 months. This white wine is not filtered, clarified or stabilised.
Taste
The Frisach Vernatxa wine is fresh and elegant at the beginning, denoting the silkiness of its texture. In its aroma you can taste the presence of fruits with hints of aniseed and a balanced flavour. It lingers on the palate for a long time, with tannins and a vibrant acidity.
A brisado wine
The Frisach Vernatxa wine is a "brisado" wine, receiving this denomination because its must is subjected to a process of maceration and fermentation with its skins, stems and pips, better known as "brisa". It is a good wine to accompany white meats such as poultry and fish, oriental cuisine, seafood and soft cheeses.
