Description
In the heart of the Abruzzo region, the name Emidio Pepe resonates as a hymn to tradition and dedication. Since 1964, this family winery has turned Trebbiano d'Abruzzo into a cult wine. Made from 100% Trebbiano, these vines grow on limestone and clay soils that give the wine a unique personality. The vineyards, located on the slopes of the Gran Sasso, enjoy an exceptional microclimate, where the sun and sea breezes combine to create ideal conditions for the grapes to ripen.
Winemaking
The winemaking of this wine is an art that Emidio Pepe and his family have been perfecting for generations. Each cluster is selected by hand and pressed with the feet in traditional presses, preserving the integrity of the grapes. Fermentation takes place spontaneously, using indigenous yeasts, and the wine ages in cement tanks, allowing for a pure expression of the terroir. Without filtering or fining, this wine arrives in the bottle with all its natural essence intact.
