Domaine Régis Rossignol-Changarnier Beaune 1er Cru Les Theurons is one of the best wines of the Domaine Régis Rossignol-Changarnier winery, made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes.
Winemaking
Like the other wines of the Domaine Régis Rossignol-Changarnier winery, this wine is made organically. The agriculture practised in this winery is environmentally friendly, and no chemicals are used in the vinification and bottling process.
For the production of the wine Domaine Régis Rossignol-Changarnier Beaune 1er Cru Les Theurons, a selection of Pinot Fin plants is made, which are small-grained Pinots, grown in vineyards of about 60 years old on calcareous clay soils.
It undergoes a traditional vinification process, maceration for 12 days, and is then aged for more than a year in new and used 20% oak barrels, followed by more than three years in bottle.
Taste
This wine has a complex terroir, and a dark red colour. The nose is crisp and serious. In addition, it has hints of forest fruits and floral aromas with some spicy notes. It also has a bitter, crisp and fresh finish. It is a quiet red wine.
