Description
The Régis Rossignol-Changarnier winery was founded in 1966 by a man whose long career and great experience led him to earn the honorary title of Living Legend of the region where he has his crops, located in Burgundy, France. One of the most representative wines of this winery is the wine Régis Rossignol-Changarnier Pommard.
This organic red wine is made using traditional methods, and no chemicals are added at any stage of the process, so it is a very healthy wine, which has a fruity aroma and a complexity that makes it very interesting.
Winemaking
Like many of the wines produced in this winery, the Régis Rossignol-Changarnier Pommard wine is made from Pinot Noir grapes grown in old vineyards on chalky clay soils, where respectful agricultural methods are used.
A traditional vinification is carried out, then the grapes are macerated for twelve days, and the grapes are harvested by hand. The wine is then aged for 13 months in oak barrels and finally, the wine spends about three years in the bottle until it is marketed.
Taste
This red wine is quite powerful. It has aromas of fruits of the forest, as well as smoky notes, and a slight hint of spices. It is a dense wine, with a long and quite persistent finish, but with a very pleasant freshness. The residual sugar level is very low, so it is a wine that has a very fresh acidity.
