The white 2022 Camino de Navaherreros Blanco is a fruit-driven blend of grapes, mostly Albillo Real, from different old and young vineyards on their property. It fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in 500-liter oak barrels and concrete. This is the entry-level white, where they seek the expression of fruit in a young and primary wine with only 12% alcohol and good acidity. It’s a little reductive at first, but there’s no noticeable impact from the wood. 10,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2023.

Description
Located in the region of Madrid, Spain, Camino de Navaherreros Blanco is an exceptional creation of the Bernabeleva winery. This wine was born as a response to the request of an American importer who was looking for an entry level wine to introduce its customers to the most premium bottles.
Camino de Navaherreros Blanco is based primarily on the vineyard's old-vine Albillo, which provides textured floral fruit balanced by the freshness of a field blend of Macabeo, Garnacha Blanca and Malvar. In addition, Godello is expected to be added in the near future.
Winemaking
The grapes are gently pressed and fermented naturally in a combination of used oak barrels, large oak vats and stainless steel. The grapes in the open vats include a portion of whole bunches and maceration with skins. Depending on the style of the year, some parcels undergo malolactic fermentation and others do not. Finally, the wine is bottled after nine months on its lees.
Taste
Camino de Navaherreros Blanco is a palpable sign of the character and passion with which Bernabeleva makes its wines. It has a fresh and crisp aroma, with notes of pineapple, pear, lemon and minerals on the nose. On the palate, it is dry and medium-bodied, with a high acidity that enhances flavours of green fruits, citrus and hints of tropical fruits and minerals. It is an ideal everyday white wine and offers excellent value for money. It is perfect to accompany light dinners, such as a poke, and will not disappoint those looking for an authentic and memorable wine experience.
