Disgorged in January 2025 without dosage, Bourgeois’s latest NV BD’B Blanc de Blancs Le Temple hails from a steep, south-facing 0.35-hectare parcel planted to Chardonnay in 1986. Defined by its distinctive blue clay and limestone soils, this wine—sourced entirely from the 2022 vintage and vinified predominantly in stainless steel, with approximately 15% matured in small oak barrels—unfurls in the glass with aromas of white flowers, pear, peach and lemon. On the palate, it is full-bodied, extrovert and enveloping, with real mid-palate sweetness despite its zero-dosage style, displaying ripe but lively acids and a pillowy mousse, with a vinous, textural profile that doesn't appear to come at the expense of freshness.
