Description
Borsao Cabriola is one of the latest creations of Bodegas Borsao, a benchmark winery in the Campo de Borja Designation of Origin. This wine is made from a coupage of Garnacha (the predominant variety), Syrah and Mazuelo, with an ageing process that gives it great complexity. The vineyards are located between 350 and 700 metres above sea level, which allows us to take advantage of the unique characteristics of the terroir. The soils are varied, including stony, sandstone, limestone and clay, which provides a remarkable diversity in the grapes.
Winemaking
The elaboration of Borsao Cabriola includes a fermentation at controlled temperatures between 24 and 28 ºC, followed by an ageing of 12 months in French (90%) and American (10%) oak barrels, which bring elegance and sweet tannins to the wine.
Taste
Borsao Cabriola stands out for its deep cherry red colour with ruby highlights. On the nose, it offers aromas of fresh red fruits and hints of vanilla, coming from its time in barrels. On the palate, the wine is elegant, with well-integrated tannins and a long, intense aftertaste. Its structure is balanced, but at the same time it presents a remarkable complexity, which makes it a versatile and pleasant wine to accompany dishes such as meat, rice and pasta.
This wine has received excellent reviews, standing out for its balance and the combination of freshness with notes of wood, all in a harmonious and perfectly structured whole.
