The evolution of the Prapetisco is now the 2024 Ladura, a red from the Arribes del Duero zone produced with Juan García grapes from old vines, but in all the old vines, there are some plants of other varieties. The wine shows the new style that changed in 2023, when they were trying to get away from the tannic and earthy rusticity to deliver something fresher, simpler and juicier. And I'd say they have achieved their goal; this is a serious, primary and lightish red with a fine-boned palate and fine tannins, supple and fresh, with only 12% alcohol and a pH of 3.7. They hand-destemmed 80% of the grapes and used the full clusters for the grapes from two vineyards, one on granite and the other on slate, and did a short maceration and aged the wine in 650-liter clay amphorae (tinajas). 1,057 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2025.
