The new red 2022 Ollos de Maia is a blend of Brancellao, Caíño Longo and Caíño da Terra, where he wants a blend of granite and the fruit from 15-year-old vines on decomposed granite soils rich in silica. The ripe grapes fermented with 35% full clusters with a soft maceration that was extended to 45 days. It matured in 500- and 600-liter barrels for 10 months. It has a perfumed and attractive nose, not showing the heat from the year, keeping the freshness with a pH of 3.5 and six grams of acidity. He picked ripe grapes with full development of aromas and flavors, but the wine still kept a moderate 12.4% alcohol. 1,200 bottles were filled in October 2023.

Free-run fermented with indigenous yeasts (70% of the grapes destemmed) and a skin soaking of 25-40 days. Aged for 10 months in used 500 and 600 litre French oak barrels. Bottled unfined, unfiltered and without added sulphites.
