Description

Werlitsch Glück wine is a clear representation of the passion and dedication of Ewald and Brigitte Tscheppe. Produced at the Steiermark winery, Weingut Werlitsch, this wine is the result of meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Made from 90% Chardonnay and 10% Sauvignon Blanc, this wine is only produced when the grapes reach the highest quality and excellence. The choice of the name "Glück", which means luck and happiness, is no coincidence. For Ewald and Brigitte, a good harvest and vintage is synonymous with fortune and joy.

Winemaking

The production of Werlitsch Glück begins with a careful manual harvest. Once harvested, the grapes are destemmed and undergo a three-week maceration with their skins. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts in open oak vats. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 24 months in 3,000-litre vats, which gives it a unique depth and character.

Taste

Werlitsch Glück is described as Werlitsch's most intense orange wine. Its flavour is brutal on the palate, with a rich palette of ripe and acidic aromas that captivate the senses. The overwhelming complexity of this wine manifests itself in super floral notes, reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc. Over time, this wine reveals additional flavours, such as honey and lemon, but with a savoury touch at the same time.
