Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The village red 2021 Vèrtebra de la Figuera has what I think is the house style; pale and with a certain lightness, moderate alcohol (12%) and ripeness and a medium-bodied palate, which, in this case, has the sappy sensation of the limestone soils, chalky, very tasty, almost salty. 6,000 bottles produced. All the wines were bottled some six months after the harvest.

Description
Terroir Sense Fronteres Vèrtebra de la Figuera is a red wine that seeks to capture the unique minerality and soul of Montsant. This region, which surrounds Priorat, is known for its special Grenache vineyards that grow on its complex hills.
Garnacha Fina, a local variety of Garnacha with larger berries and thinner skins, thrives on the high plateau 600 metres above sea level on the Figuera mountain. These vineyards, rich in red clay and gypsum, are home to old vines that are between 40 and 80 years old. In these late ripening sites, they give the wine an elegance and purity almost similar to Pinot Noir.
Winemaking
Fermentation is carried out in cement tanks with up to 10 days of skin maceration, and then aged for a further 8 months in cement tanks.
Taste
In Terroir Sense Fronteres Vèrtebra de la Figuera the fresh Grenache flavour radiates elegance and altitude, almost alpine in its precision, with a slight touch of attitude. Aromas of smoky black fruits, ripe blackberries and crisp pomegranate mingle with accents of liquorice and fresh forest herbs. The elegant palate unfolds into an exciting mix of sun-kissed fruit, cool, chalky nights and tremendous structured concentration. A lingering acidity flows through the wine, like an underground stream. Fine tannins shape and sharpen the taut body, turning it into a picture of refinement.
