Description
Movia Puro Rosé is one of the ancestral sparkling wines from the Movia winery in Goriška Brda.
Winemaking
Movia Puro Rosé is made from 100% Pinot Noir. The grapes are harvested by hand at the beginning of September. The vinification process begins with destemming and pressing of the grapes. The must is then left to clarify naturally by cold decanting. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts begins in stainless steel tanks and ends in barrels. After a year of barrel ageing, the cuvée is bottled together with approximately 7% must from the current year's harvest for secondary fermentation and sparkling. This sparkling wine is made without the addition of sulphur.
Taste
With a light pink colour and a coppery touch, this sparkling wine dazzles with numerous tiny pearls glistening in the glass. Its outstanding aromas express notes of raspberry, redcurrant, red orange and pomegranate. These aromas are complemented by pleasant perceptions that reveal hints of barrel-aged wine, intertwined with perceptions of autolysis such as: shortcrust pastry, vanilla, almonds, butter, bread crust.
