The white blend 2021 Vi Fi de Masia Blanc is their entry-level white, a regional blend with a base of 40% Garnacha Blanca, 35% Xarel.lo and 25% Malvasía de Sitges from different zones and fermented in their Masía (farmhouse). All grapes are organic (but the seal is not on the label), and they fermented and matured in large oak barrels and concrete vats. It started with Malvasía and Garnacha (in 2018), and then they introduced Xarel.lo. Here, they want a fresh wine with little oak and some aging potential but also to be drinkable, wines with moderate alcohol, with good acidity and freshness. It has 12.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.1. Tasty, clean and fresh. 9,100 bottles were filled in June 2022.

Description

Masia Blanc's L'Enclòs de Peralba Vi Fi is an authentic expression of winemaking tradition and innovation in Penedès, Spain. Started in 2017 by cousins Leo and Roc Gramona, descendants of a renowned Penedès sparkling wine dynasty, this project focuses on making wines that reflect the distinctive flavour of its landscape.
Made from grapes grown in clay and calcareous clay soils, this wine is a unique blend of Garnacha Blanca and Malvasía de Sitges. The Garnacha Blanca, known for its volume and intensity, is perfectly complemented by the floral notes and refreshing acidity of the Malvasía de Sitges. These varieties are grown in selected plots, worked by experienced growers who share Gramona's vision of sustainability.

Winemaking

The elaboration of L'Enclòs de Peralba Vi Fi de Masia Blanc is a careful process that begins with a manual harvest. The Garnacha Blanca undergoes a pre-fermentative maceration of 8 hours, followed by a direct pressing. Fermentation is carried out with natural yeasts in cement eggs, a technique that enhances the purity and clarity of the wine. Ageing for 8 months in these cement eggs before bottling ensures a harmonious integration of flavours and aromas.

L'Enclòs de Peralba Vi Fi de Masia Blanc is a celebration of freshness and balance. With an alcohol content of 12.5% and a pH of 3.1, this wine is characterised by its freshness and moderate acidity, making it ideal to enjoy on any occasion. The combination of Garnatxa Blanca and Malvasia de Sitges offers a clean, savoury flavour profile, with floral notes and an intensity that reflects the diversity of the Penedès terroir.
