The warmer 2020 produced a 2020 La Cerqueta that keeps the poise and elegance, with moderate alcohol and ripeness, and it has an ethereal profile but feels more Mediterranean and exuberant than the 2021 I tasted next to it. The full clusters fermented with their natural yeasts in concrete with a long maceration (70 days) and matured in oak foudre for 14 months. It's aromatic with notes of thyme, rosemary and lavender, a juicy and textured palate and fine, polished tannins. 2,304 bottles were filled in March 2022.
